The Avanti Group and its resources have lead or participated in dozens of successful projects for clients.  These include worldwide software implementations, integrating operations of merged and acquired entities, and high-ROI process optimization initiatives:

Designed and built first mass-customization capability for high-volume consumer electronics business on SAP ECC platform. Modeled processes including variant bills-of-material configuration product structures and built associated build-to-order manufacturing processes including bills-of-material using classification system. Developed all related solutions including returns, repairs, exchanges, and replacement of configurable, made-to-order product. Integrated with custom web front-end via SAP PI.

Order Management Project (Philips): Lead team chartered with optimizing order-to-cash process for a $500M medical product division producing highly configurable, build-to-order, installable systems. Reduced pipeline inventory by 25% and cycle time by 15%, while substantially reducing cycle time variability, resulting in highly predictable flow of revenue and cash.

Phoenix Project (Philips): Acquisition of $1.6B medical products company. Merged global operational processes and systems against an absolute timeline. Ensured operational continuity upon exit from legacy environment, against backdrop of $10M monthly penalty for non-compliance. Success of project required new integration solution implementing ALE for multi-instance communication, and KMAT materials with build-to-order manufacturing, none of which had previously been used.

Starlight Project (Agilent): Deployed new 3rd party logistics hub in Singapore distributing high-volume, off-the-shelf medical supplies from the US. Reduced order-to-receipt turnaround time on customer orders from 15+ days to 2-3 days reliably. Resulting infrastructure supported localized materials procurement at reduced cost.

NEC/Mitsubishi Merger (NEC): Joint venture of Mitsubishi and NEC for all monitor business. Consulted to JV in areas of Sales Operations, Finance, and Logistics. Merged existing businesses into a single system and set of business processes.

Heartstream, Zymed Acquisitions (Hewlett-Packard/Agilent): Acquiring company selected Avanti to  act as lead consultant for operational integration of acquired companies. Merged business processes and adapted systems to support integration of acquired companies’ operations.

Project Advantage (Hewlett-Packard): Provided Sales, Logistics, and Finance consultants for new SAP implementation in $1.4B Medical Products Group. Supported client in lead roles across multiple project releases including build-to-order, configure-to-order, and off-the-shelf medical devices and supplies.

Project Advantage (NEC): Our consultants built Sales, Logistics, and Finance solutions for an 8 month, all-module, worldwide SAP implementation. At the time the project was the fastest complete implementation of SAP. Project methodology was adapted by SAP into their “ASAP” implementation methodology.
